These hand stitched flowers are made from fabric in Iraq. They are used to be pinned into headscarves or as broaches. We learnt how to do them recently.
Some of the fabrics were quite soft so we used a fabric softener to stiffen the material. We cut round sections of fabric to fold and make into the petals of the flowers.
To hold them together and make a centre on them, we used buttons.
